April 2022 Update

In last month’s newsletter, I mentioned experiencing (what I thought was) burnout. Unfortunately, it appears much more is going on and I’m currently riding the medical merry-go-round (moving from specialist to specialist) trying to figure it out.

As someone who used to be energetic, active, and on top of things, it’s frustrating and bewildering to always feel completely drained (barely enough energy to get my oldest kiddo off to school in the morning), be in constant physical pain (my seventy-year-old mother can run laps around me) and have such frequent memory/focus issues that I’m avoiding conversations with friends so I don’t embarrass myself 😢.

I won’t bore you with the rest of my symptoms, but they’ve greatly impacted my writing and are forcing me to pull out of collaborative projects and cancel the pre-order for Claiming Her Mates Book Four. I hope fans of the series will understand. As soon as I’m able, I’ll complete and release the story and (as followers of my newsletter) you’ll be first to know when it is out.

One of the silver linings of this journey has been the readers and authors reaching out to offer their support and share their own experiences with chronic health and autoimmune issues. I’m in such awe of their strength and how much they’ve endured to get answers and manage their conditions. It’s inspired me to keep pushing for better medical care and even given me ideas for future books 😉.

Speaking of books, I hope you’ll check out my backlist of available books (free in kindle unlimited) as well as the wonderful new releases, book deals, and giveaways in my April Newsletter.

March 2022 Update

I’ve written this update several times, but the prior versions were too depressing. The take-home message is I’ve hit such an extreme level of burnout/exhaustion (because of health issues/increasing family responsibilities/work deadlines) that while filling out medical forms at the doctor’s office yesterday, I completely blanked on the date. And it wasn’t just the day and month.

I couldn’t remember what year it was…

It was a gut punch I couldn’t ignore. I’ve never been good at prioritizing self-care, but it’s not optional at this point.

Going on a no-kid vacation with my hubby should help. Although we’ve had to cancel the last three of our previously planned getaways, we’re boarding that plane in two weeks come hell or high water!

Having fun updating my older books should also help. I’ve just renamed one of my favorites (Claiming the Nanny is now Rejecting His Mate). Let me know what you think of the new cover and blurb!

Finally, making the time to read (my favorite pastime) should help too. I hope you’ll join my reader group and share your book recs with me.

I also hope you’ll check out the new releases, book deals, and giveaways in my March 2022 newsletter.

February 2022 Update

I didn’t do a January update, but I have a valid excuse! A few weeks ago, I had to have emergency surgery (not fun). I’m incredibly grateful that everything worked out, but it was a powerful reminder life can turn on a dime and health shouldn’t be taken for granted.

My recovery has been a bit of a roller coaster as I can’t follow the surgeon’s restrictions (being the primary caregiver of four young kiddos makes that impossible). As a result, I had to extend the preorder of the next book in the Claiming Her Beasts series. But you’ll be happy to know I’ve been working hard on the story as well as a secret novella that will be coming soon.

Until then, you can enjoy my available books as well as the exciting new releases, book deals, and giveaways in my February newsletter!

December 2021 Update

I hope you and your family are healthy and doing well. The past few weeks have thrown mine some curveballs. My four kiddos have been sick four times in the past six weeks and one of my twins required some pretty extensive (and expensive) neurological procedures/testing. Then yesterday, I was notified that my oldest must quarantine due to a Covid exposure in his class 😩

Sometimes it feels as if the hits keep coming, but I’m trying to stay positive and get into the holiday spirit. That’s why I’ve got several exciting giveaways coming up including a special holiday giveaway in my reader group. I hope you’ll join the group and enter for a chance to win a $30 amazon gift card and have a character in my next book (Claiming Her Beasts Book Four) named after you!

See my December newsletter for more giveaways, new releases, and awesome book deals including a free holiday sci-fi romance anthology featuring one of my books!

November 2021 Update

Happy November. Can you believe 2021 is nearly over? Wow! Where does the time go?

Last month was a crazy blur with the release of Claiming Her Beasts Book Three. It’s exciting the book got such a warm reception from readers (it even earned a new release best seller tag 🎉).

Book Four is already up for preorder (see bottom of newsletter)! I hope you’ll check out the steamy paranormal reverse harem Claiming Her Beasts series if you haven’t already (it’s free in kindle unlimited).

If you are still on the fence, let me introduce you to the guys in the series =)

Dominic: The brutal sergeant who demands complete control in all things.

Reed: The devoted best friend who would sacrifice his soul for the woman he loves.

Avi: A tormented shifter who risks everything to protect his mate.

Hunter: An inhuman creature who crosses every line (including possessing a human) to claim his woman.

Sai: A sexy as sin rockstar who has mastered the art of seduction and is down for anything in and out of the bedroom.

My reader group helped pick the male models (as inspiration) for the yummy alphas in the series! What do you you think of them?

I’d love for you to become a member of my reader group. There are fun games and weekly giveaways (the one this week is for a $25 amazon gift card).

For even more giveaways, new releases, freebies and awesome book deals see my November 2021 newsletter!

October 2021 Update

Can you believe it is already October? This year is flying by!

Many of you know that I’m a slow writer (being the mom of four young kiddos, I’m lucky to get an hour or so a day to write). So, when I do release a book, it is cause for celebration!

Yesterday, book three in the paranormal/post-apocalyptic reverse harem Claiming Her Beasts series released!!!

Early reviewers said:

  • “You won’t want to put this book down!”
  • “I am in love with Lee’s story!”
  • “I physically could not put the book down I had to know what happened next.”
  • “I loved this book!”
  • “Absolutely amazing!!!”

I hope you will download your copy of Claiming Her Beasts Book Three (free on kindle unlimited) and read it for yourself!

In celebration of the book release, Claiming Her Beasts Book One will be FREE (10/6 – 10/10) so be sure to pick up a copy of the series starter!

Fore even more giveaways, new releases, and awesome book deals, please check out my October newsletter.

Enjoy!

September 2021 Update

September means back to school for my oldest kiddo and back to the office for my hubby (he’s been working from home for the past year). Guess which family member is most upset by the change?

If you guessed the dog, you win. Poor girl is depressed not to have her favorite lap to sit on all day. 😢

It’s definitely been an adjustment for us all. I miss having an extra hand around when the little ones go nuclear, being able to run errands without three small children in tow, and not having to figure out how I’ll get kids to different places at the same time. I also miss the extra bits of writing time I could squeeze in throughout the day.

But I’m burning the midnight oil to churn through the final edits of Claiming Her Beasts Book Three. I hope you have preordered your copy. I can’t wait for you to read it! It is jam-packed with chills, thrills, and more steam than any book I’ve written to date (if you’ve read my previous books, you know that’s saying something). 😂

I’ll have some exciting announcements and book deals for you when it releases next month. Until then, enjoy the awesome new releases and giveaways in my September Newsletter!

August 2021 Update

Since my last newsletter, life has gotten very challenging for many of us again. Sadly, I recently lost an extended family member. It was a sobering reminder of how priorities can shift in an instant and how important it is to put family (and health) first.

Although I pushed the release date for Claiming Her Beasts Three to October 5th. I promise it will be worth the wait. There are thrills, chills, and scenes so steamy they will melt your kindle. Be sure to preorder your copy now as the price may increase upon release.

This month I’m hosting a Fated Mates Giveaway to give readers a chance to win a paperback of Claiming the Nanny and a $25 amazon gift card. Get your entries in before the giveaway ends August 26th.

For more giveaways, new releases, freebies, and awesome book deals, please check out my August 2021 newsletter.

June 2021 Update

Woohoo!

The weather is heating up. Quarantine is over! Who’s ready to party???

Count me in! Hubby and I are even thinking of taking a vacation without the kids (something we’ve never done before). Nothing too crazy. Just a long weekend somewhere (not sure if it will be at the hotel down the street, or if we will be daring enough to fly off to Vegas or California), but I’m already so excited.

I hope you have some fun summer plans too. Those plans can include winning Claiming Her Mates and Claiming Her Beasts paperbacks along with a $25 amazon gift card if you enter my Rejected Mates Giveaway!

For more giveaways, new releases, freebies, and awesome book deals to help get your summer off to an amazing start, check out my June Newsletter.

May 2021 Update

How is life treating you these days? It’s starting to feel more normal around here and I’m so thankful. I recently went out on kid-free date with my husband to an indoor restaurant for the first time in well over a year and it felt amazing (and strange).

May is always a crazy month with the school year winding down, but I’ve had time to put Claiming Her Beasts Book Three on pre-order, so make sure to claim your copy now!

Also, did you know that the Claiming Her Mates series is a completed paranormal rejected mates series? If you haven’t read the books yet, check them out. I’ll bet you’ll love it!

March 2021 Update

Anyone else hitting the wall?

It’s been nearly a year of sheltering in place with four young children, and I’ve hit a new level of tired (the kind that no amount of sleep can fix) and a new level of stir crazy. I can’t wait for things to return to normal (or at least some semblance of normal).

To keep sane, I’ve been working through the final edits of Claiming Her Beasts Book Two and I think you’re going to love this book =) Make sure to preorder your copy if you haven’t yet!

To tide you over until the release date (April 2nd) check out these awesome book deals, new releases, giveaways, and freebies included in my March 2021 Newsletter.

February 2021 Update

How do you feel about Valentine’s Day? When I was young I loved the class parties and valentine exchanges, but as I got older it lost its allure. Now, because my kids are so excited about it, I’m back to enjoying the holiday. We’re still sheltering at home, but we are going all out this year with decorations, candy, and our own little valentine exchange. It should be fun!

To help make Valentine’s Day a little more fun for you, I’ve tracked down some awesome book deals, giveaways, and freebies (see my latest newsletter). I’ve also discounted Claiming the Nanny (the prequel to the Claiming Her Mates series) to 99 cents for the rest of the month.

Enjoy!

January 2021 Update

I hope this new year finds you healthy and hopeful.

As much as I try to remind myself how lucky we are (having food, shelter, and our health), there are some days when it’s a real struggle. Arizona currently holds the dubious reputation of being the top coronavirus hot spot in the country (if not the world). Because of this, we’ve made the difficult decision to continue sheltering at home and virtual schooling to protect our high-risk family members. 😢

One thing keeping me sane (after being stuck at home 24-7 with four young children for so long) has been writing. I’ve been making some headway on Claiming Her Beasts Book Two which you can preorder now. Book two will follow Lee and her sexy beasts in the aftermath of the apocalypse (it’s going to be explosive and steamy 🔥). I also have plans to release books three and four in the series this year.

Another thing keeping me sane is my wonderful reader group on facebook (Dia’s Hellraisers). If you haven’t checked the group out, you should! We have fun discussions and weekly giveaways.

Speaking of giveaways, I’ve tracked down some fabulous book deals, giveaways, and freebies and included these in my January newsletter (click here).

Happy Holidays 2020

2020 has been a hell of a year for many of us, and as we close the book on it, I find myself filled with hope that next year will be so much better. I’m also very touched by the support of readers like you who’ve bought or borrowed my books and left encouraging reviews this year.

Because of you, the release of Claiming Her Beasts Book One far exceeded my expectations =) Thank you! If you haven’t had time to get your copy of this steamy reverse harem paranormal series starter, please check it out (it’s free on kindle unlimited).

To express my thanks, I’m having a $40 giveaway in my facebook reader’s group! Join Dia’s Hellraisers and comment on the giveaway post for a chance to win. Additionally, I’ve tracked down some fabulous book deals, giveaways, and freebies and included them in my Special Holiday Newsletter.

Wishing you and your family a healthy, happy, and relaxing holiday and New Year’s!

Dia

December 2020 Update

It’s release day for Claiming Her Beasts Book One and I’m so excited to launch this book into the world! I hope you will download a copy =) I’ll leave it at its discounted 99 cent price through the weekend so snap this steamy paranormal romance up for less than a cup of coffee!

In celebration of release day, I’ve made Claiming the Nanny free through the weekend as well. Don’t miss this super steamy prequel to the the Claiming Her Mates series!

Also, I’ve tracked down some extra amazing book deals, giveaways, and freebies (see my newsletter).

November 2020 Update

Happy November,

Are you a big fan of the holidays? Normally, I’m not. I usually skip over the Hallmark holiday movies and only begrudgingly put up decorations. In my defense, it’s hard to summon holiday joy when the production of that joy takes so much time and effort (decorating, shopping, wrapping, planning, baking, cleaning, and hosting events for family members who don’t always get along).

But 2020 is different. And, with how difficult this year has been, we all need some of that holiday joy. I’ve already got the decorations up and holiday music is playing non-stop. 🤣 In between Hallmark movies, I’ve been finalizing edits to Claiming Her Beasts Book One (be sure to preorder it at 99 cents before the price goes up to 3.99)!

I’m also building up my review teams. If you are interested in reading and reviewing advanced copies of my books please fill out this form.

For book deals, giveaways, and freebies to bring you some holiday joy, click on my November newsletter.

October 2020 Update

Happy October,

Normally, by this time of year I’d be in full Halloween mode. The house would be covered in ghoulish decorations and the front yard would have become a graveyard so terrifying the neighbor’s kids would cross the street to avoid it *bwahaha*

But not this year =( This year, I’m not so comfortable turning our house into a lightning rod for trick or treaters (especially since I still haven’t come up with a plan for what we’re doing yet). If you have any creative ideas for celebrating safely, please send them my way!

Since I can’t channel my love for monsters into decorating, I’ve been writing them into my new series—Claiming Her Beasts. The first book of this steamy reverse harem paranormal romance series is now up for preorder and I’m making it only 99 cents (for a limited time) because I know times are tough for everyone.

See my newsletter for freebies, exciting giveaways, and new releases from other authors that I’m sure you will enjoy: https://preview.mailerlite.com/h0u9x4

September 2020 Update

Since having to cancel my pre-orders (due to the demands of helping my kiddos through distance learning) I’ve been struggling with how to best use the tiny bit of writing time I have in a day.

Ultimately, I’ve decided to rewrite an older series of mine (Heaven in Hell) as a reverse harem paranormal romance for a couple reasons. One, because the series is my all time favorite (I adore the characters). Two, I always envisioned the story as a reverse harem. Three, because the story wasn’t yet finished and the ending is going to epic!

This post-apocalyptic series is set in the same world as the Claiming Her Mates series and the main characters of both series (Lee and Havana) are both dancers at the same club. In fact, readers first met Lee in Claiming the Nanny.

Expect high heat, sexy Alpha (and beta) males, shifters, and some paranormal creatures you’ve never seen before! The picture in the header above is a sneak peak at what will be the new cover for the first book in the series. I don’t have a release date, but you all will be the first to know!

The old versions of the stories (Heaven Before Hell, the Heaven in Hell Boxed Set 1, and the Heaven in Hell Boxed Set 2) are still available on amazon, but they won’t be for long so check them out so you can compare the before and after!

Check out my newsletter to find exciting giveaways, freebies, and some new releases from other authors that will warm your nights!

August 2020 Update

How are you?

That simple casual greeting seems a loaded question these days. I never answer honestly. Either I dodge the question or I answer, “fine,” in a strained voice that begs the asker not to delve any deeper.

But the truth is, I’m overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, and relate to the picture in the header a little too much.

I know I’m not alone. My situation (doing virtual school with three kiddos with special needs while keeping their toddler sister out of mischief and sheltering at home and trying to meet my writing deadlines) may be unique to me, but everyone has stressors these days. They might be financial-related, health-related, child-related or relationship-related (or a soul-wrenching mixture of all of the above). I think we owe it to ourselves to recognize what a hard time this is and give ourselves grace.

To that end, I requested amazon move the deadline for my next book (Claiming Her Consorts) back. Unfortunately (since I’ve already moved the pre-order date once already), they refused. Therefore, I have no choice but to cancel the pre-order for this book which breaks my heart. I hate to disappoint readers, but there is no way I can write this story with all that I’m dealing with right now. I hope you will understand.

I’m trying to think of creative ways I can still be productive (and just maybe get another book out before the end of the year). In the interim, please check out my newsletter for new releases from other authors that will keep you entertained along with some freebies and giveaways.

July 2020 Update

How are you holding up? Some days I struggle to remember what normal used to be.

Since I have high risk family members and Arizona is a hot spot for the virus right now, we have been sheltering in place since early March. That means, other than escaping to the backyard before it hits 100+ degrees, we don’t go anywhere.

Before too long my house began to feel like a prison and my kiddos seemed like other (crazier) inmates. So, it comes as no surprise my new book takes place in the Lost Soul’s Penitentiary (LOL).

Speaking of my new book… Claiming the Wardens released today!!! It’s the origin story for Sydney (Havana’s best friend in the Claiming Her Mates series). I promise, her story will blow your mind =)

I’ve been hearing wonderful things from early readers:

  • “This story was amazing, so engrossing!!! I loved it!”
  • “I love, Love, LOVE this book!”
  • “This seriously is a new favorite book.”
  • “OMG! I need the next book like right now!”
  • “Absolutely loved it.”
  • “I loved this book!! This was such a fun ride.”

I hope you’ll download this steamy paranormal reverse harem romance today and let me know your thoughts!

In celebration of release weekend, I’ve made Claiming Her Mates Book One free, so snag it if you don’t have a copy already!

You can find more freebies, giveaways in my monthly newsletter!

Stay healthy and take good care!

June 2020 Update

I hope you are safe and well in these trying times. My family is on nearly a hundred days of social distancing and I’ve almost forgotten what “normal” looks like.

To cope with all the craziness, I’ve been reading new series. I always rejoice when I find the series has been completed (completed series are like gold)!

To make it easier for readers to find my completed paranormal romance series, I’ve decided to release the Claiming Her Mates Box Set!

For a limited time only, the prequel (Claiming the Nanny) will be included in the boxed set along with all three books in the Claiming Her Mates series as well as a never published super sexy bonus scene =) I’ve also discounted the price because I know times are tough.

Next month, I’ll be releasing Claiming the Wardens (previously titled Reforming the Witch), the prequel to another steamy reverse harem paranormal romance series. You can find more about it (along with some giveaways, new releases, and freebies) below: https://preview.mailerlite.com/f2x5a3

Take good care,

May 2020 Update

How are you surviving this crazy world we are living in?

I’d like to say that life stuck at home with four kiddos is peachy, but I’d be lying. My eldest is fighting homeschooling every step of the way (is it summer yet), my three year olds have given up their naps (noooo!) and the one year is walking and into EVERYTHING. Additionally, I’ve been battling chronic pain that is going to necessitate surgery this summer =(

Because of this, I’ve been forced to move the release dates on two of my books back by a month (Reforming the Witch & Claiming the Witch). I apologize for the delay.

In more positive news, the audio book for Claiming the Nanny is out and the audio book for Claiming Her Mates Book One should be coming soon. Additionally, I’m working with some skilled designers on new covers for upcoming series (see the new cover for Claiming the Witch above)! The covers are gorgeous and I can’t wait until they are finished so I can share them with you.

Click Here to see my newsletter with all the new releases, giveaways, and freebies I can share!
